About OMO Hotels
OMO is a new brand of affordable hotels created by Hoshino Resorts aimed at travelers staying in Japan’s major urban centers. All OMO hotels have a number of things in common:
- They are extremely convenient for local attractions and transport.
- Guest rooms have all the features and amenities needed for a relaxing stay.
- There is a common area, called OMO Base, for relaxing and meeting other guests.
- Hotel staff can tell you the best way to enjoy the area.
There are different types of OMO hotel which are suitable for different budgets. Classed by different numbers, the simplest option is the OMO1 type which is a capsule hotel suitable for daytrippers, while OMO7 hotels provide a “full-service” that is suitable for longer stays. OMO3 hotels are classified as “basic” – having all the essentials for a short trip but more comfortable than a capsule hotel. Hotels similar to the one in Asakusa are OMO3 Tokyo Akasaka and OMO3 Kyoto Toji.
There is also an OMO Airport Hotel at Kansai Airport that has extra features such as an express buffet service, and a spa and fitness center.
