Ryokan Kamogawa

Ryokan Kamogawa is a traditional Japanese inn located in central Asakusa with excellent bathing and dining facilities. The inn is close to all the local sightseeing attractions and transportation facilities and is a great base for exploring the rest of Tokyo.

Guest Rooms

Ryokan Kamogawa has a variety of elegant Japanese style rooms with tatami matted floors and futons. All rooms have air conditioning and heating, a TV, a refrigerator, tea making facilities, a light cotton yukata robe, and slippers. Guest rooms come in four types:

Superior Single Rooms are 7 m² (excluding luggage space) and are suitable for solo travelers.
Standard Rooms are 13 m² and are suitable for 2-3 guests.
Superior Rooms are 16.5 m² and are suitable for 2-3 guests.

All rooms have a private bathroom and a separate toilet with an electric bidet. Bathrooms are supplied with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shaving razors, toothbrushes, and towels.

Breakfast & Dining

Breakfast is served on the 1st floor. Guests can choose between a Western style set meal for 1,000 yen, or a Japanese style set meal for 1,600 yen. The Western breakfast includes eggs, salad, ham, fresh fruit, toast, juice, yogurt, and a cup of coffee. The Japanese breakfast includes grilled fish, egg, rice, soup, a variety of side dishes, fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, and a cup of coffee. Breakfast must be booked at least one day in advance.

Dinner can also be delivered from the nearby “Kura” grill restaurant. The restaurant’s seasonal menu has a wide variety of seafood and meat dishes. There are a wide variety of other restaurants in the area around the hotel.

Other Services & Facilities

There are English speaking staff at reception who can offer advice and recommendations about neighborhood attractions, restaurants, and entertainment. Check-in is from 14.30 and check-out is by 10.00. Guests can store luggage at reception before checking in or after checking out.

There is a very large Japanese style bath on the 1st floor of the hotel that guests can use privately. This facility is stocked with complimentary shampoo, body wash, cotton buds, skin toner, skin lotion and hair dryers.

Two computers are available for guests to use on the 1st floor. Free wireless internet access is available in all the guest rooms and throughout the building.

There is a designated smoking area in the 1st floor lounge.

Location

Ryokan Kamogawa is a 2 minute walk from the Kaminarimon Gate of Sensoji Temple, a 5 minute walk from Asakusa Shrine, and just 1 minute from the souvenir shops of Nakamise shopping street.

Transportation facilities at Tobu Asakusa Station on the Tobu Skytree Line, Toei Asakusa Station on the Asakusa Subway Line, and Tokyo Metro Asakusa Station on the Ginza Line are all just 6 minutes away. TX Asakusa Station on the Tsukuba Express Line is also just 6 minutes away. Here is a map of the location.
