Richmond Hotel Premier Asakusa International opened in 2015 right beside its sister business the more simply named Richmond Hotel Asakusa. Like its neighbor the Richmond Hotel Premier has already acquired an excellent reputation for friendly and helpful service, superior facilities and very reasonable room rates. Situated in the heart of Asakusa this location cannot be beat for local sightseeing, shopping and dining and makes a good base for exploring the rest of Tokyo.
Guest Rooms
There are 270 guest rooms in the Richmond Hotel Premier which come in a variety of sizes with options for single, double, twin, and triple beds. Guest rooms are compact, cozy, and kept spotlessly clean. Rooms on the 7th, 8th, 9th, 11th and 12th floors are completely non-smoking and rooms on the 6th and 10th floors are smoking.
All rooms are fully air conditioned and equipped with Simmons bedding, a refrigerator, a combined humidifier and air purifier, a hair dryer, a trouser press, an iron and ironing board, an electric kettle with tea and coffee making facilities, pajamas and slippers. Mobile phone chargers with international plug adapters can be found on the writing desk. All rooms have a flat screen TV with satellite channels and free video on demand.
Private bathrooms are equipped with a shower and bathtub, a full set of towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, a toothbrush and toothpaste and a full set of complimentary toiletries.
All rooms are also supplied with a free Handy brand smart phone with multilingual settings which you can use throughout your stay. The Handy smart phone has unlimited access to the internet both inside and outside the hotel and can be used to make free domestic calls and free international calls to the following 6 countries: China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, and the U.S.A. This is an invaluable tool for finding your way around Tokyo as it has apps for both maps and train times and you can freely download other apps too.

Breakfast & Dining
An all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet is served daily between 6.30 and 11.00. The buffet includes both Western and Japanese style breakfast items so if you want you can enjoy sushi with your scrambled eggs. A healthy variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, breads, coffee, tea and juices is sure to get your day off to the right start. The price for adults is 2,500 yen, 1,000 yen for children aged 6 – 12, and free for children aged 5 or younger. A special Halal breakfast box is also available, but this needs to be reserved at the front desk by 9pm the previous day. The price is set at 2,500 yen.
Services and Facilities
This hotel has a 24 hour front desk.
All guests are served a welcome drink in the hotel lounge upon arrival. The lounge looks over the hotel garden and beyond that Sensoji Temple and Tokyo Skytree. The lounge bar is open from 13.00 to 22.00.
The hotel’s “concierge board” is an automated computer service in English or Japanese that can advise you on the best travel plans for sightseeing in Tokyo and Japan. You can also have this information sent to your smart phone. The concierge board is fairly easy to use, but staff are on hand to assist you if you have difficulties.
Laptop computers and DVD players can be rented from the front desk for 800 yen a night.
Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the hotel. There are tablet devices in the 5th floor lobby that guests can freely use to access the internet. For photocopying services ask at the front desk.
There are coin operated laundromats with washers and dryers on the 8th, 9th and 10th floors.
Drinks vending machines with both soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are on the 7th and 11th floors. There are also microwave ovens and ice-making machines on these floors.
