Breakfast & Dining

On the ground floor is a combined café, bar, and restaurant called Zakbaran – which translates as “plain speaking”; a famous trait of local folk in downtown Asakusa. Here guests can buy a typical Japanese style breakfast with rice, fish, and soup; light “continental” breakfasts; or a simple tofu donut with coffee. Lunch, dinner, and desserts can also be had here from a varied seasonal menu, and the bar prides itself on its selection of fine sake or nihonshu. The restaurant staff will be happy to help you choose a sake that complements your meal. Zakbaran is open from 7.00 – 23.00 Monday through Saturday and until 22.00 on Sundays, and holidays.
